1. The rule of all rules: all servers MUST have at least some of this channel's Power Rangers encodes on their fserve.
  2. Most material can be placed on fserves, with the exceptions of warez, adult material, and Power Rangers material from sources other than within the channel. If you obtain Power Rangers material from outside the channel, please check its CRC against our encode guide before placing it on an fserve (this can be checked automatically using the SFV system; see the Guides > File Checking page). Anything that doesn't match should not be served. If you are unsure, please check with DragonRanger or Nadja.
  3. If you ask for or otherwise gain voice, you are expected to keep your fserve running for a decent stretch of time, and make sufficient bandwidth available to members of this channel. If unsure, consult an op.
  4. Do not have your fserve voice restricted unless you are serving AT LEAST a complete season, or enough various encodes to equal one.
  5. All triggers must have a /ctcp in front of them, to prevent channel spam.
  6. You must have priority queuing enabled for voiced users and ops, enabling such users to enter your queue ahead of non-servers and facilitate faster distribution of encodes. Instructions on how to set this are specified on the Guides > Setting up an Fserve page.
  7. An fserve must have at least 5 queue slots, preferably 20 or more.
  8. Be sure that your fserve ad is silent, i.e. that it will not show up in the channel at a regular interval. You may flash your fserve ad once in order to gain voice, although the far preferable alternative is to simply type !voiceme and let one of the ops' scripts grant you voice.
  9. Do not serve incomplete encodes; this means that you must not serve from your download folder. Please move all your complete encodes into a separate folder and point your trigger to this.
  10. RM files are no longer acceptable for episodes, only for special material and promos as listed in the encode guide. Likewise DVD rips are also no longer allowed, except for certain promos as listed in the guide.
  11. The two movies are available widely and cheaply on DVD. They are not to be served in any form.
  12. Do not serve re-encoded versions of the channel's encodes. If you need to re-encode or edit for your own purpose, be it burning VCDs or anything else, please ensure these re-encoded files do not find their way onto your fserve.
  13. Most important rule of all: to keep your fserve in order, please make sure that the CRC of each episode encode is displayed in the filename. This is imperative in order to help people not to waste time downloading the wrong encode of an episode they want. The most simple way to do this is to use the SFV system to have it done automatically, using the Guides > File Checking section from the menu above.

Lastly but by no means least, all new encodes are initially released via BitTorrent in the channel for at least 12-24 hours. The topic will always reflect any active torrents. We do this so as to make it easy for everyone to gain new encodes. Please upgrade to new encodes when they come out, or at the very least remove outdated encodes from your fserve. This isn't generally a rule, except in specific cases when an encode is explicitly marked for total replacement; it's just very annoying for encoders to work so hard to improve the quality of our collection when so few people show appreciation by upgrading. In some cases people may be asked to upgrade/remove certain encodes that are particularly outdated, or when they have large amounts of outdated encodes.
